A Message from The Commander

Updated: 3 hours ago
Dear Fellow Veteran on Social Media,

I’m the First Vice Commander of North St. Paul Legion Post 39 and the Fourth District Commander. Thank you for your dedicated service to our country. I’d like to share a little about what Post 39 does in the community and invite you to become part of our Legion family.
Post 39 has more than 450 members, and we remain committed to supporting Veterans and our community. In 2025, we donated $46,000 back to our community, supported Veterans’ programs, provided financial assistance, helped Veterans file VA claims, and awarded scholarships to high school seniors in our area. Our Honor Guard completed more than 45 missions, totaling 760 volunteer hours. Our Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and Legion Riders are very active, so I encourage your family to become part of the Legion family.
We also believe in supporting young people. Our Legion Baseball team is coached by North High School Coach Bill Huffman, and our air rifle team is coached by retired CW4 Paul Preblich of the University of St. Thomas. In 2026, Retired CW4 Perblich’s team won gold at the Minnesota American Legion 3-Position Air Rifle State Championship.
Around 1946, Ramsey County had 33 American Legion Posts; today, only 12 remain, and just four have a building where Veterans can gather. Many Posts meet in homes or restaurants because they are determined to preserve the connection among fellow Veterans.
I invite you to join Post 39. We need Veterans like you to help ensure Veterans receive the support they’ve earned and to continue serving our community through events such as toy and school-supply drives, pancake breakfasts, and raffles.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope to hear from you soon.
For God and Country,
Daniel Bronk
4th District Commander
Past Commander, American Legion Post 39
